SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

- MAC iOS Supported (user must install bootcamp)
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE:
- Check for Windows Updates: We need to ensure that your Windows operating system is up-to-date. To do this, go to your windows search bar and type in “check for updates” then click on “CHECK FOR UPDATES”. Once Windows updates are successfully completed, you will restart your device, and when you are logged back into Windows, you will repeat the process to ensure no further updates are available. - Disable Windows Real-Time Defender: We need to disable the Windows Real-Time Defender. To do this, go to your windows search bar and type in “security”, then select “WINDOWS SECURITY”. You will proceed by clicking on “VIRUS & THREAT PROTECTION. On the next screen, you will see “VIRUS & THREAT PROTECTION SETTING“, select “MANAGE SETTINGS“. The first option will show a “toggle” switch where you can turn the “REAL-TIME PROTECTION” on or off, at this point, you will want it OFF.
PLEASE NOTE: anytime running or using this software, this option should be OFF otherwise re-installation of the software will need to occur. For Windows 11 users, you will need to turn off S MODE first (see below), then disable Windows Real-Time Defender (see above).
WINDOWS 11 USERS need to switch off S mode:
** IF you have McAfee Antivirus “Disable” Real Time Scanning: - Obtaining COMPORT Pro Tuning Suite Software: Upon receiving your COMPORT Pro Tuning device, you will see an instruction label on the outside of the box. This label instructs you to email sales@amrperformance.com from your registered email address (the email address used to place the order). In the subject of the email, you are to put “I RECEIVED MY COMPORT PRO TUNING SUITE”. This is done to auto-direct the email to the correct department. In the body of the email, you are to include your:
- Order Number
- Vehicle Year
- Vehicle Make
- Vehicle Model
- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
* AFTER SENDING YOUR INFORMATION PLEASE WAIT UP TO 12-24HRS FOR A RESPONSE! Installation of COMPORT PRO Software: After receiving the reply email from our AMR Performance staff, you will see a software link which will automatically initiate download when clicked. After downloading the software, you are going to use your mouse, “RIGHT CLICK” on the file you downloaded, and select “EXTRACT ALL” or “EXTRACT HERE”. This will unpack the software into a folder in the directory you downloaded the file to. After completion of unpacking, you will click on the .exe file to begin installation. Once installation is complete, you will see a new a desktop icon labeled “COMPORT PRO“.
Launching COMPORT PRO Software: Before launching the software, plug the supplied USB cable to your PC, the other end into the DONGLE, and then the DONGLE into your vehicle’s OBD port. Now you can proceed to your desktop and click on the icon to launch the software. Please make sure you have a solid WiFi Connection. Select and double click on the COMPORT PRO TUNING SUITE icon to launch the software, you will be prompted by windows asking if you want to proceed, select “YES”.
Once the software launches, you may be prompted that updates are available. This is due to our engineer’s hard at work installing new features, making changes, etc… To ensure you are up-to-date with the latest software, you will be immediately prompted after launching. Please click “UPDATE” to install the update.
After auto-updating, the software will automatically re-load. When this happens, you will be back to the log-in screen (see picture below). This screen requires you to use the registered email address you have on account when you purchased the software upgrade.
PLEASE NOTE: Make sure you have a solid WiFi connection (you can use your cell phone hotspot which is recommended, you want speeds over 50mbps, you can check your WiFi speed here by clicking here), you have a battery charger on the vheicle, and that the supplied OBD cable is plugged into your PC and the other end into the OBD port of your vehicle as well as your vehicle’s ignition on. Then you can proceed to log in.
