1. Make sure that your battery is fully charged and has enough to steady voltage to supply your vehicles electrical demands while the engine is not running.
    • If you are unsure of your battery health (or your battery is more than 3 years old), connect your vehicles battery to a 20A battery charger while performing writing / programming to the ECU.
  2. Make sure you do not have your lights on, radio on or any additional electronics that can cause the electrical voltage to drop or lower while performing your ECU write / programming.
    • We are communicating with your ECU through the OBD2 CAN-Bus system and other communication networks that could be susceptible to noise and network interference.
  3. We recommend to connecting your COMPORT to your vehicle’s OBD2 port, turn on the ignition, open your driver-side window, close the door, and perform all operations while reaching into your vehicle.
